The Governance – Global Practice of the World Bank and the partner institutions of Charter for Public Procurement Studies (CPPS) proudly present the world’s first ever, Certificate Program in Public Procurement (CPPP) offered free in Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) format.

CPPP provides the learners with an opportunity to enhance domain knowledge benefit from peer review submissions and get a certificate on successful completion of the course. The course, a blend of e-learning, self-study and social learning is offered completely online. CPPP will have eight units in three main modules of (i) Introduction to Procurement and Public procurement (including Management Concepts and Techniques); (ii) Public Procurement Operations; and (iii) Public Procurement and Good Governance.

Aims and Objectives of the Course
CPPP caters to procurement practitioners across the globe and the endeavor is to enable anyone interested in public procurement to get an overview of the field and to understand the rationale behind Public Procurement decisions.

Duration and Assessment Structure
A period of 13 weeks is provided to complete CPPP. Candidate will need to pass module-end assessments and the Certificate will be issued when a cumulative score of over 60% is achieved in all modules.

I was so happy to locate this class. The World Bank understands that procurement and contract management are gateways for corruptions, and the damage procurement and contract management has caused globally needs to be addressed. This online course provides contextual learning.

Very interactive course packed with tons of useful practical information. The material mostly focuses on South Asia. The dynamic is high but manageable. Overall, it is a great course. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to get the procurement knowledge.

Overall, I'm please I did this course.

But coming from the World Bank (an organisation that must be seen to remain free from corruption) and focused on countries where corruption is obviously a major challenge, it felt like a completely different perspective.

The material was relatively simple.

The biggest downside was the delivery method - much of it was based on animated characters talking - a method I find condescending, slow and ineffective, with very little in common with most modern online methods. (Seriously, I would suggest the folks who made …

Very good course for beginners. It is mostly related to southern Asia, but generally gives you enough information to have proper understanding of public procurement
