This is a short and crisp course that introduces the ideas of functions and iteration really well.

And it is clear from the beginning that these ideas are being introduced keeping in mind more advanced topics in mind.

The groundwork is laid really well, the examples were great, and the quizzes and homework are apt for cementing in the concepts introduced.

The instructor is really great as well. His ideas of explanation and examples are innovative and effective. Hope he makes more courses! Love this man's style of teaching.

The instructor's examples from real life are nice.

One thing this course could improve is its pace. It could go a little bit faster. Only a little bit.

I did this course quite quickly since its small. I also have a background in UG level math. This was just a refresher for me to see new ways to understand the basics. It was quite useful in that regard!

It is very useful for my research work. Dynamical systems is popular branch of mathematics. Most common problems depend on dynamical system. To learn discrete dynamical system , first of all we must learn function and iterations.

The course provides participants with a solid basis to start learning any other more advanced topic related to complexity. Contents are presented in an extremely intuitive way and the structure of the tutorial (videos+exercises) is extremely conducive to fast learning. While some more advanced topics could be introduced, it is a very good tutorial to start learning complexity topics.

I really enjoyed this course - Prof Feldman takes the time to review concepts and importantly terminology repeatedly so they sink in. This is really important when entering a new field. Also his explanations are simple, direct and 'in-depth' leaving no assumptions, so the tutee gets a thorough overview of the subject matter. To be recommended!
