This course is good to grasp elementary topics from data mining and machine learning. Even if you don't plan to work with Weka, this course is still usable and brings some value, especially for people new to the data mining.

This course has given me an idea of how data mining process works using Weka. There is well-structured content and activities which gives you insight into how to work through analyzing varied datasets using different algorithms. The activities in this course concentrates on comparing and understanding the results of the algorithms. They have given a basic level of algorithm understanding of some popular algorithms. So , overall , the course ware effectively copes with the objective of getting you work and analyzing data sets in Weka.
I would recommend this course to have a beginner level of understanding of the data scientifical and analytical process.
I'd recommend this course to anyone. I found it difficult but with work you can get through it - it's not impossible. You'll be able to understand what data mining is and will learn some of the unique language and concepts used to describe it. That alone is worth doing the course.
