This course and the entire series is just terrible. It is very unclear what they're trying to achieve with this XSeries. In this course, they introduced Internet of Things, but draws no link to Data Science or Analytics. It seems like the word Data…

I'm currently near the end of week 2 of this 3 week course. The course videos itself are moderately interesting, but the quizes are very bad. The questions are not clear at all and can be interpreted in different ways. It's frustrating to loose points because the questions are so confusing. Also some of the expected answers are simply wrong, for example the question about possible security issues in IoT devices: certain types of attack might be "less likely" but that doesn't mean they're a not valid security concern and that you can ignore them. If you're interested in IoT, then I recommend to only watch the videos (at speed x1.5 or x2) and skip the quizes.
  • This course is very weak. A series of unrelated videos on broadband specifications in a monotonous format. I tried hard to complete it because I had validated the 2 previous courses of the series (which I found good and in line with the specialization's goal) but this one was a real disaster. I put some constructive comments on the forum but they got deleted.

This entire course series is absolute trash and a shame for Columbia University.

The content has nothing to do with "Data Science" and especially not with content relevant for "Executives"! What a waste of time, avoid this course

Totally agree with the above review. Plus, why do all the teachers have mono-tonal voices? Talk about put you asleep! Still, the biggest issue is that the lectures do not totally cover the quizzes, so you have to go out and research for hours to try to find the answers, which of course are vague as hell because this technology is ever changing...
