This course will introduce you to the Korean language, and present and explain Korean culture, enabling you to have real Korean conversations.
During the course, you will learn Korean phrases, greetings, vocabulary, numbers, spelling and grammar. It is composed not only of the explanation and presentation of culture but also the activities related to Korean language.
By the end of the course, you will be able to have a real Korean conversation with your newly acquired knowledge of the Korean language. This course will give you a taste of language skills and Korean cultures.

How do these MOOCs or free online courses work?
MOOCs are designed for an online audience, teaching primarily through short (5-20 min.) pre recorded video lectures, that you watch on weekly schedule when convenient for you. They also have student discussion forums, homework/assignments, and online quizzes or exams.

Overall, this is a very simple introduction to Korean. In each lesson, they will teach you how to speak simple conversational Korean. For example, "where shall we meet" and "Hello, my name is...."
If you are expecting to learn how to write or read korean by using hangeul, or learning hangeul alphabet by alphabet, then this is not the course for you. This is more for people who wants to learn basic conversational sentences.
Also, in each lesson, they will teach you some basic grammar and introduce you to some Korean cultures. There are also listening and speaking test that you can choose to do or not do.
