Mental health problems often develop during the teenage period. As many as 1 out of 5 teenagers are dealing with these problems. Therefore, it is important that you know how to recognise common mental health problems, know how they arise, what you can do to prevent them and what you should do when you actually suffer from them. This course, designed specifically for young people, will help you find out more.

This course was obviously developed for learners to understand terms that people bandy about more effectively instead of thinking of them in a more cynical way. Yes, they said what was more complex but they gave you the knowledge of understanding the sooner one get help the better and more faster it is possible to heal. They also, in my opinion, they emphasized that trust is a very important issue with getting help more important than dealing with more people who you can not trust. I thought that was a very good point. The Resilence section was my favorite it was very detailed how one c…

This course was a good introduction to the subject & paves a way to further study as it gives a good insight into the areas affecting young people’s mental health. The links to mental health charities websites also helps in providing information & services available to young people & increased my awareness to access information too.

The course was easily accessible & easy to navigate I found it interesting & valuable & it has increased my interest & I would like to learn more.

This was a helpful, comprehensive and accessible course with a good variety of material which was well presented and easy to understand. I would have completed all but focussed instead on areas i particularly wanted to know about as I had other time commitments. I will probably re-visit the rest of the course before my access expires.

I enjoyed this course on the whole, the subject was interesting and it covered interesting topics such as psychosis, autism and ADHD that I didn't know about before. However, I feel like it could be borig if you already knew a good deal about mental health problems and psychology, as in some places it was a little simplistic.

An introduction and overview of the mental health problems young people can suffer from that will be useful for young people themselves, parents, teachers and youth workers. Those wanting more in depth information will probably find there isn’t enough detail or exploration of the different topics.

I find it's very useful to have a basic knowledge about the most common health problems that affect young people. You can decide if you want to go deeper in learning about a specific one.

Quite a broad overview of several issues faced without going into too much detail. This makes it accessible to both youngsters as well as being a useful tool for care professionals.

Such a fantastic course. The interviews of children were fantastic. The course covers a wide area but the volume of work is manageable with small videos. Thank you
