The course is fascinating, as is the product.
A technical background comes in handy as they talk about the way the db is set up (which is the theoretical part) and you need to program (for the practical bit).
I'd recommend it to anyone with basic knowledge of dbs and programming. The db structure is revolutionary and python is easy enough to learn on the fly!!

The class is pretty good. It gives a very good overview of mongodb. I would recommend taking this class if you want to get started with mongodb. The class does not have a lot of java components, but it gives a good overview of the drivers and code necessary to get started

This is a great course to get started with MongoDB. It is not very heavy on the Java-part, but then again this course is about the DB-side of things.
I enjoyed the course as it was well organized and thought out!
