Overview

This MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) offers a short study of writing skills designed especially for those in health care professions. If you're looking for valuable tips on written communication and using APA formatting in the health care field, this is the course for you.

The course is organized into three Units, with several segments in each unit. Each segment will point you to a resource and/or offer a quick video to help you work through different aspects of your writing. You can work through the course at your own pace, taking as much (or as little) time as you need on each concept. The course can be worked through in several hours, or over several days - longer if you choose. The short quizzes in each unit can be used to test yourself. After passing each quiz with 100%, you will earn the course badge, which is exportable to your Mozilla Backpack.

  • A great introduction into writing papers, citing and referencing. Clear examples, good reading material. The videos were not the best, but they conveyed the information accurately. I learned something new in a field which I already have experience, so the course was really worth it.
