In today’s diverse consumer market, illustration exists through many forms of expression breaking with traditional roles of the illustrator. Through a series of projects, students will explore the translation, production and distribution of their visual ideas. Through the integration of design principles and drawing skills, students gain an opportunity to discover new possibilities for illustrated visual expression in the market.
A student should have basic drawing skills, basic digital tool skills (Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop) and understanding in fundamental design theory, in order to take this class.

Really enjoying this course. I do not know how to use Illustrator so I needed to look on YouTube to get caught up with this course. Looking forward to making a poster for my show using the skills in this course.

Even though the course was an audited class, I feel we should be allowed to post and get feedback.
The first lectures give you simple and actionable tips on how to create an engaging and aesthetically pleasing visual, even if you don't consider yourself an advanced visual artist. Overall, you'll leave with a bunch of ideas of how to practice your skills in conveying a certain idea or story through an image.
Excellent course! Highly recommended. As an artist with over 20 years experience, I found Mr. Junichi Tsuneoka's style of art refreshing. Can help to relax and break up the rigidity of being stuck on photorealism artwork.
This was a a great way for me to start my design career. I always wanted to take these type of courses in Uni, but never had the time in my schedule. Great to learn about Cornish and how they teach this subject. Also took a class from MICA at the same time on Kadenze. Both courses were very high quality.
I's been an honor for me to take this course at Kadenze. The schedule is very flexible, and the material is very rich. if you work in any art domain, you will find this course extremely useful especially when it comes to being creative.
Taking this course along with Graphic Design course from MICA. I highly recommend taking both at the same time. The work in the gallery is absolutely amazing. Cant believe how many talented artist there are in this course!
