Use technology to improve learning outcomes

Digital tools can be used to improve various aspects of the learning process, starting with developing the learner’s voice. You can also use this opportunity to collect data from your learners to design and optimise your blended learning options.

Help your learners build skills independently

Independent learning is a key skill, and you can help your learners develop it with the help of blended learning technologies. You can support them in the initial stages and give them the opportunity to use online resources later on without always needing your help at each juncture.

I loved this course it hit the mark spot on. I work with faculty in Higher Ed and I was curious about how this MOOC might help them to undertake their course designs. I be that it will. The MOOC is extremely well designed from a learning stance and the interface is really clear, clean and intuitive. The instructors were right there all the way and summary at the end of each week was excellent. Lots of great content, discussions and a good model for those interested in blended learning in Higher and Vocational Ed.

Excellent course with useful insights into ways of embedding technology in learning. Interesting to hear what learners think. A look at tracking learners and evaluating costs and time issues related to the development of blended learning. I like the way the course was structured with a list of topics for each week and the videos were very helpful.

This course was well designed and contained a mix of materials, videos, articles, discussion and the normal student comments. As the preamble to the course states, technology is advancing and teaching is changing and so I wonder if some of the reports which are included, which are now in excess of five years old and some of the case studies need to be updated to keep up with technology. The practical demonstrations of a model platform were very clear and informative.Having the transcripts of the videos was certainly an advantage as in one or two places the audio was not as clear as perhaps it could’ve been, which was probably more of a challenge for those who do not have English as a first language.
