Learning How to Learn: Powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects

Visualizing Japan (1850s-1930s): Westernization, Protest, Modernity

Written 2 years ago
The topics covered are very interesting. I have not heard about those things in the media or other places before so it was eye-opening.

The European Discovery of China

Written 2 years ago
It's very refreshing to see China from a European perspective and from that era, which was so much different from now. It made me rethink the Chinese history we were taught at school and how history and world view is constructed.

Español Salamanca A2

Written 2 years ago
The course is manageable time-wise and easy to follow. You have to do more drills and additional exercise on your own apart from those of this course if you would like to reach A2 level.

Latino Popular Culture for the Clueless

Written 2 years ago
The videos are interesting although I do wish they did try so hard to appear cool. It's an entertaining course and did add to my knowledge.

Literatura y cultura tradicional de México

Written 2 years ago
The course was a little too dry to keep my attention and I wasn't interested in ALL parts of the traditional culture of Mexico so it was difficult to finish it. Nevertheless, I enjoyed those parts I'm interested in, e.g. fairy tales and how they connected with other cultures, so it was great to audit the course.

Instrucción Gramatical y Virtual ELE

Written 2 years ago
It aims to provide materials for different levels under the same topics and the videos are quite useful, but still the course on its own is not quite sufficient. It only works as a supplementary workbook.

Cómo elaborar un texto académico en Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales

Written 2 years ago
As a Spanish language learner, I took this course merely to practise my Spanish. The main lecture videos are spoken in very clear Spanish and the words are not too difficult (jargons and new vocabulary are presented on screen) so they serve as good listening materials. The lectures are also engaging themselves and the content is useful for university students who needs to write academic texts.

Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python

Written 2 years ago
The many practice quizzes are very useful and I could follow the first half of the course but when I encountered a problem with an exercise around the middle of the course I couldn't solve it and since I was too busy to find other help (e.g. books/resource persons), I was stuck and gone off track with the course schedule. So I had to drop this course. I'd recommend this course if you have someone around who already knows programming because as with other computer stuffs, sometimes a small thing can get you stuck and you can look at it a million times and still can't see where the problem lies.

Behind the Scenes at the 21st Century Museum

Written 2 years ago
The content is interesting and inspiring. The activist part of the museums is really highlighted, which is a role I'd never associated with museums. The course also makes you reflect on how culture and history is presented and preserved.

Educación y Museos

The presentation is clear and engaging. The reading materials are very useful. The content is quite similar to another introduction to museums course I audited and I think both courses are quite good.

Understanding Dementia: A Course for Relatives

Written 2 years ago
Each week is divided into 4 parts: Medical knowledge, Daily life, What can you do?, and Being a relative. The information is valuable, especially the sharing of experience by actual patients' relatives. The interface is not very user-friendly but that is expected from a canvas course.

Teaching Adults: For new (and newish) Teachers

Written 2 years ago
The interface is not user-friendly and is difficult to navigate. It is a general problem of canvas but it's really a hindrance. I would appreciate it if the course is more straight forward and readily applicable to real life.
