Learning How to Learn: Powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects

Written 7 months ago
This course of Learning how to Learn from the University of San Diego has taught me some very efficient learning techniques! I just completed my sophomore year of University (Leiden, Holland) and this MOOC was very useful for me to get to know more about hands-on learning techniques I can easily practice myself.

What I liked furthermore is that Barbara Oakley and Terrence Sejnowski offer - besides the hands-on techniques - some theoretical background and insight into how your brains work and why some of the techniques work how they work.

In addition, I really enjoyed the presence of extra optional content like recommended readings and extra interviews with interesting people which are really worth reading/watching!

The last positive thing I want to point out is that there is an option to do extra assignments in order to complete the course "with Honors". This is what I did and I really enjoyed going for this "extra mile". I even ended up talking with someone from India to help each other with learning! How great.

The only thing that could be improved a little bit in my opinion are the visuals and a more modern look of the videos. However, you can say the beauty of this course is in the inside ;)
