My husband and I did this course as a "date night". We love the mountains and spent a lot of time enjoying them in every season. We were excited to do this course, but we weren't too sure what to expect.
We really liked having experts in the field speak on camera to us, as well as including parks Canada and local aboriginal groups. Probably the best part of the course was watching the mountain shots behind the profs; we knew lots of them, but now have new trios planned :)
I highly recommended this course to anyone remotely interested in learning in about mountains. Our favourite topics were the history of mountains, and current sustainability (the second last lecture). We weren't too interested in the literature information, but found it interesting. The quizzes were harder then we thought; but we still passed them all.
Have fun in this course. We hope a 200 level course will open up soon; perhaps with more adventure tourism, and aboriginal legends and explorers .
