In Learning how to Learn Barbara Oakley alongside with Terrence Sejnowski try to explain in the simplest possible way, how human brain works in order to help people to learn more efficently and to live a better life. They mix in neuroscientific terms with analogies and metaphors in order to explain the processes and reactions taking place in our brain and in our neurosystem.
For me, the best part was the comprehensive overview about different study methods and memory improvement methods and why people should use them and how they work. Unfortunately, the neuroscientific background is somewhat weak, if you want to know more than the clever analogies and metaphors reveal. Then again, there are citations to many different full-neurscience articles, if the people have the time and the interest to check these out.
