Chemistry – Building Blocks of the World

Written 4 years ago
It was a great course. If you want to begin learning about chemistry or if you have difficulties with it this is an excellent course. On the other hand, if you already know chemistry and want something more challenge, then search in other course, because this is going to be too easy for you.

In my personal experience I like it a lot. Now, I can move forward to more difficult classes.

Education in a Changing World

Written 4 years ago
Great course! The professor gives you an introduction about many concepts and parts of history that makes you think. While there were many arguments that I already knew, there were others arguments completely new to me and interesting. In addition, the additional sources that the course gives you are great. If you want to expand your knowledge about this topics, the course suggests you different books, articles, and videos. I saw all of them and I liked them, even though there were some that I didn't agree with.

So in conclusion, I definitely recommend this course. This course would shape you to become a better teacher or in my case, a better student!

Marine and Antarctic Science

Written 4 years ago
Definitely a great course! The difficulty is moderate and if you want to know more about the oceans and its habitat, you would find this course very interesting. I learn many things in this course and as an wildlife scientist I actually became tempted to change of career. Marine and Antarctic Science's course is very recommended!

Chinese Language and Culture

Written 4 years ago
The course was almost excellent! The only problem I see is that it was very short and briefly explain on some stuff. I think that there are still many things the professor could cover but some reason he decided to cut out them. I guess it was just right because it covered Chinese culture in a very basic form. However, don't expect any difficulty or challenging subject here.

What Is a Mind?

Written 4 years ago
OK, I actually think this course was great! The professor engaged enormously to give interest in the student. He explained deeply the subject and also provided an opportunity to ask questions so he can respond to the 4 more rated. What I liked about this course is that he provided evidence of what he explained and also some additional sources like articles and/or websites (although in my opinion I'd prefer MORE sources so we can investigate more about the subject in question). Another point I would like to add is that the course gives scientific explanation of things I've never think before. Definitely, my favorite online class of all the ones I took before.

Marriage and the Movies: A History

Written 4 years ago
This course was splendid! The professor submerged the student(s) into the different eras of movies, since the silent era until nowadays. The explanations she gave according of each movie and/or in relationship with what it was considered marriage and all its implications such as what it was right and wrong in it; and of course its problems in it were clear and precise. Another remarkable thing about the course is the participation of the people in the discussion forum, I really enjoyed reading and replying to all the movie lovers!

Introduction to Business in Asia

Written 4 years ago
The course was easy to follow. The professor explained the differences between Asian culture and Western culture and how this might affect when doing business. Surprisingly, although I actually didn't expect that I could enjoy this type of course because the least I want to work in is something related on business (because it isn't something I see I could enjoy), I found interesting topics in this course that also could apply in other things, for example if you decide in living or going in vacations to some place in Asia.

I encourage anyone with a interest in Asia culture (even if it's a slight interest) to look up this course. It's easy, fast, and actually it could give you many interesting information about Asia in general, its background, and culture.

The Rise of Superheroes and Their Impact On Pop Culture

Written 4 years ago
The course teaches the student about the history and development of 'Superhero comics.' During the course, the professor answered all our questions in the forums and even Stan Lee gave us his perspective about the subject!

In general, the difficulty in this course is that to approve it you need to create your own superhero, with the plot and everything. It isn't a requirement to know drawing but it is encourage to complete the assignment. In my case because I can't draw I did the assignment just with wording. Even though the previously said, if you're a geek that likes comics like me, I assure you that you're going to enjoy the course. You'd meet awesome people with the same hobby and you'd be inform about the development, creation and influence of the comics.
