Learning How to Learn: Powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects

Written 9 months ago
This course came highly recommended, and is an area I am very excited about - Learning how to Learn.

There was a lot of useful information in the course, and I have utilized some of the ideas. Additionally, it has fed my interest in the area and I am now reading book a book called The Art of Learning by Josh Waitzkin, which I love.

Many of the ideas are geared towards taking exams in mathematics or engineering based subjects, but there is crossover.

The course has several shortcomings, I felt. The metaphors used seem quite random, appearing persistently, but never quite clicking for me. Some of the diagrams don't really explain ideas very well, and their repetition is simply confusing. The production value is also quite low.

Nevertheless, it's a great way to get started learning about learning, and may spur you on to learn more about the area, as it did me.
