As you roam the culinary landscape of Taiwan, you’ll learn the vocabulary you need to understand it. From essential table manners to key words for ordering, the knowledge you gain will guarantee a hassle-free dining experience.

Ever wondered what Taiwanese families eat during Chinese New Year? Or how to make the most delicious Xiaolongbao?

These are just some of the things you’ll discover as you explore Mandarin food vocabulary.

Learn how to order food and drink in Mandarin

Throughout the course, you’ll build up the vocabulary, grammar, and speaking skills you need to confidently navigate a menu in Taiwan.

By the end of the three weeks, you’ll know what delicacies you want to order and how to go about ordering them.

This course is designed for learners who have already achieved Level 1 competency in Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) (equivalent to CEFR-A1).

To keep up with the course, you’ll need a basic understanding of Mandarin grammar and pronunciation, and a vocabulary of approximately 500 common words.
