Coursera is by far the largest MOOC provider, offering 840+ courses. The next biggest provider edX offers 328 courses. In fact, many people who have not heard of the term “MOOC” (Massively Open Online Course) have heard of Coursera, founded by Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller.,

Today, Coursera reached a major landmark – over 10 million people have signed up for on its platform to take courses. This is more than all the other MOOC providers combined.
