Technology Learning Support Specialists (TLSS): Early Childhood

New Mexico Consortium and New Mexico Highlands University via Desire2Learn

Overview

These five TLSS modules are perfect for parents, caregivers, teachers and community members who have limited free time and need to acquire technology skills right away. The modules teach practical application of digital tasks which have become very valuable and real. These modules make it feasible to gain job skill credentials on a computer or smartphone. Each module takes around 60 minutes to complete. Each module results in a badge. Five badges result in a complete course certificate. The badges and certificates are recognized by New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) and schools throughout New Mexico. These credentials can be used for resume building, skills development, and online learning opportunities. The modules are mostly in English, but contain many Spanish resources and options. Module assignments can be completed in English or Spanish.

Early Childhood is great for parents and teachers of younger learners. Modules are tailored for this age group and how they use technology both in the classroom and at home.
