Overview

Media is a powerful tool for promoting social justice. If you are an activist involved in promoting or advocating for a social cause, this is the course for you.

The course provides a step-by-step guide to identifying and pitching a newsworthy story, including: 
  • understanding the money, time and other resources required to develop
  • a story for print media, radio, and social media
  • identifying appropriate media for publicising your story
  • assessing the impact of your story
  • working in an ethical way as both an activist and citizen journalist.
