Overview

At a time when food and nutrition information is at an all-time high, there is a lot of confusion and misinformation about food based recommendations for health.

This set of courses for healthcare professionals (including GPs, nurses and midwives) will improve your knowledge of nutrition and health topics, and give you practical skills for providing simple nutrition and food based advice to patients.

You may also be able to collect CPD points for these courses, depending on your discipline and professional associations. You will need to pay for each of these courses individually.

Syllabus

Courses under this program:
Course 1: Food as Medicine: Fertility and Pregnancy
-Help your patients use foods and nutrition to assist in conceiving and achieving good pregnancy outcomes.

Course 2: Food as Medicine: Talking about Weight
-Help your patients use foods and nutrition to assist them in achieving their weight management outcomes.

Course 3: Food as Medicine: Food and our Genome
-Understand the relationship between food and genetics and learn how to apply your learning to help patients.

Course 4: Food as Medicine: Food, Exercise and the Gut
-Gain a deeper understanding of the connection between food, exercise and the gut, with this course for healthcare professionals.

Course 5: Food as Medicine: Food and Inflammation
-Understand how food and nutrition relates to inflammation with this course for healthcare professionals.
