This course provides students with an introduction and detailed overview of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. Participants will gain an understanding of the six advantages and benefits of cloud computing, the types of cloud computing, and the different deployment models available. The instructor will demonstrate how to set up an AWS account, configure Billing Preferences, Budgets, and Alarms, and explain the AWS Free Services, as well as the AWS Support plans. Topics such as Resource Groups and Tagging, AWS QuickStart, Cost and Usage Reports, AWS Organizations & Accounts, and Networking IaaS services like S3, CloudFront, EC2, and Elastic Load Balancer will be explored. There will be insight into the various pricing models for EC2 and other services, AWS Trusted Advisor, AWS Marketplace, Consolidated Billing, AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and TCO Calculator. The instructor will keep students informed when it comes to Security and Compliance, including AWS Landing Zone, Shared Responsibility Model, AWS Compliance Programs, AWS WAF, AWS Shield, VPC, Cloud Trail and CloudWatch, and Amazon Macie, plus log aggregation and analytics services. This course wraps up with a review of the AWS Initialisms, exam booking tips, and a good luck message.
