This course covers the following learning outcomes and goals: understanding vectors, dot product, cross product, equations of lines and planes in 3-D space, vector functions, derivatives and integrals of vector functions, functions of several variables, limits, partial derivatives, chain rule, directional derivatives, tangent plane, local max and min values, Lagrange multipliers, double and triple integrals, vector fields, line integrals, Green’s Theorem, parametric surfaces, divergence, and curl. The course teaches skills such as calculating distances between points, lines, and planes, finding closest points on a curve, determining areas of parallelograms, and solving problems involving triple integrals in cylindrical and spherical coordinates. The teaching method includes theoretical explanations, proofs of theorems, examples, and applications.
