Overview

This course covers advanced topics in signals and systems, focusing on probability fundamentals, random variables, parameter estimation, optimization, stochastic processes, Markov chains, Poisson processes, stationarity, Gaussian processes, and spectral analysis. Students will learn about functions of random variables, covariance, correlation coefficient, linear MMSE estimation, birth-death chains, Poisson processes, power spectral density, and bandpass signal representation.
