Otherwise, it is better to first complete or at least audit QM101.1x before enrolling for this course to fully realize the benefits. QM101.2x covers more ground on descriptive statistics and statistical distributions like Normal, Poisson and how these can be used to process huge data sets using R in the business context. The exercises and case-lets will help you to get a fairly good grasp of the basics of R programming, make you aware of the power of the R platform in processing huge data-sets viz-a-viz excel and create in you, a desire to learn R in greater depth.
